One of my most recent paintings. From a photo, trying to capture a certain mood or experience that is somewhat elusive for me. This and a few other recent paintings are going to be used for a scholarship application. Oil on canvas.

Very nice! I like the complements (I know nothing about painting...but I think that's the word I'm looking for).
Its kinda neat to have watched your art improve to what it is. And I've always appreciated your advice.

this is amazing, love the combination of color and lack of colorrr.
and the shapes, those are awesome around the nose and eyes : )

Thank you. I think the support of people is preventing me from being overly critical of this piece...which is a good thing, I want to be able to say that I like something or that I did something well without having to make it conditional.
